Why we Exist

During the summer of 2010 Rachel Abell attended a Forward youth conference with her church. At the conference she heard about the issue of human trafficking for the first time. This issue shook her as she heard Christine Cain share real life stories about survivors. The last night of the conference God called her to open a home for young girls who have been affected by the issue of human trafficking. That night her whole perspective and life dream changed. She told God, “It’s okay if I never have children of my own as long as I can be a mom to these young girls.” That dream is even more alive in her today.

Since then Rachel has interned with Out of Darkness in their safe home for women who are survivors of sexual exploitation, worked and lived in Provision de Amor a girls’ home in Colombia, actively served on mentor teams with The Zion Project and attended strength based, trauma informed care training with Wellspring Living in Atlanta, GA. All of this has helped shape and prepare the vision for this organization.
